- The AUD $290.00 “Booking Fee” (which may include “For a Notice of Intended Marriage” at no additional charge) is not refundable - unless I am unable to solemnise the marriage on the day on which it was to have been solemnised and in such case am unable to arrange for a substitute celebrant.
- The AUD $390.00 fee known as the “In respect of solemnisation of marriage by authorised civil marriage celebrant” fee (which must be paid no later than 14 days before the day on which it was to have been solemnised) is refundable only if written notice of cancellation of the marriage is given to me not less than 14 days before the arranged ceremony day or if I am unable to solemnise the marriage on the day on which it was to have been solemnised and in such case am not able to arrange for a substitute celebrant.
- Notwithstanding the above points, where public health orders or other regulations prevent the marriage from being solemnised on the day on which it was to have been solemnised, booking fee is non-refundable. The marriage may be rescheduled without any further fee applying. An alternative venue for the purpose of solemnising the marriage may be substituted, as venue unavailability for whatever reason will not frustrate the agreement. That is, the marriage may still be solemnised, albeit in a different location and with adjustments as needed to comply with public health orders, emergency situations, or other regulations.
- In the case of force majeure, “Booking Fee” and “Ceremony Planning Fee” (liquidated damages) are non-refundable. The marriage may be solemnised without additional charge once the public health orders or other regulations do not prevent the marriage from being solemnised.
- The “Ceremony Planning Fee” is non-refundable once work has begun on ceremony creation, scripting and preparation. It may be refundable if the ceremony is cancelled in writing by the couple no later than two months before the day on which the marriage was to have been solemnised (or – if the ceremony was to have taken place less than 2 months after lodging the NOIM – no later than 14 days before the day on which the marriage was to have been solemnised).
- Fees paid (or payable) in respect of phone calls (that is, for phone calls that are not covered by the Booking Fee, the Ceremony Planning Fee, or the In respect of solemnisation of marriage by authorised civil marriage celebrant fee, visit to the venue and/or travels costs exceeding 80km in a return journey between my base and the place of marriage are not refundable or waivable.
- Other costs may or may not be refundable, as per arrangement.
